We found the hotel lovely staff very pleasent. The rooms were quite dated but clean would stay again.Location great.
We know The White Swan from several previous visits to England, and love to stay in this charming old hotel and the city as well.
Some of us are getting older. May be you should have a piccolo to get luggage up your labyrinth of stairs and narrow corridors?
A short walk to theaters and other historical places connected with Shakespeare, like his birthplace. Also a lovely looking 17th century hotel.
Good town centre position, nice building
No dinner or evening meal available.
Nice hotel, good location......room clean.
no 24hr room service available as stated in room info.
Not much although people were friendly. .
Needs massive renovation
Central location, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with large choice.
Rooms on the small side, and as central heating was off (not required due to temp) the towel rail in the bathroom also was off and therefore unable to dry towels etc overnight even- though fresh towels available if you ask
Quirky style of building - as clearlyy authentic
Location next to a noisy nightclub - which I had not been warned about. Poor organisation for breakfast service and check out - not at all customer focussed, with lots of 'busy' staff and little attention to creating a calm, customer-focussed, atmosphere.
The friendly staff and the closeness to the town centre
In need of a little updating here and there, including the odd reconfiguring of the bathroom and new bed.
Location and appearance of hotel is fitting with the town. Bar and restaurant is convenient and has a good atmosphere
Parking was a little expensive and not close enough. Shower was not the best
The hotel was very central and close to shakespeares birthplace. The bar was very good and the beds were very comfortable
centrally located and the staff were very helpful and friendly. these would be the only reasons to recommend this hotel to anyone
room quite worn, old and not what was expected. mouldy bathroom, a long and complicated route to reception, no bar or drinks available in the evenings.
Friendly and efficient welcome. Perfect location. Room to store luggage after check out. Character building with maze-like corridors!
Got woken a couple of times by noisy guests walking past the bedroom door in the early hours. Extra charge for parking. Breakfast was served early and seemed expensive.
A comfortable hotel in a central location. Convienient for theatre visit and shopping. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Our bedroon was a long walk from reception and faced onto the car park. This didn't really matter as we didn't spend much time in it but it's the second time we've stayed at the hotel and had a room at the far end.
Lovely hotel plenty of character and conveniently located for rsc theatre.
Would be better if the hotel had a car park.
