    Good

Staff friendly and helpful - with particular regard to parking for the disabled. The hotel is clean and all facilities were OK.

Some rooms are not suitable for a disabled person. Many steps and long tortuous corridors. Our room was OK and well appointed.

Relatively cheap and convenient, but not really value for money. Parking arrangements poor, staff unhelpful and abrupt, trouser press broken, bathroom tired, bath stained

    Good

The location was excellent, right by Shakespeare's birthplace, close to shops and restaurants, good for city tour bus stops, opposite only thatched cottage inside the village.

Our room was not ready on time, we had to ask for a different room, the food in the hotel was very expensive and not good, the bar was tiny and service slow. I hope they improve after the takeover and major refurb expected November 2011 to March 2012. I could only recommend it to anyone just looking for a bed and not interested in hotel facilities.

Amazing character room, like stepping back into history. Central location to Stratford. Good value. Good parking arrangement.

Although the room was full of character, the bed was very uncomfortable (Room 105), and the road noise in the morning for rooms that front onto the road is excessive. Lorries unloading barrels etc at 8am.

Proximity to the attractions of Stratford-Upon-Avon.

The hotel was not clean, the mattresses were lumpy, the staff not terribly friendly. The hotel could use some upgrades -- new carpeting, bathroom upgrades. This was the low point of our England holiday.

    Fabulous

An excellent welcome from friendly, professional staff. The large, comfortable room enabled us to relax after a hot day and prepare for our evening entertainment in good style.

    Good

We came for one night because we needed a bed after going to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The heating was not working, so we were given a fan heater. Also there were no extra blankets for the bed. The breakfast was good, but in view of the heating not working, perhaps our breakfast should have been free? I would stay with you again, but would describe the hotel as scruffy, but nice!

Poor on cleanliness- the bath tub was really dirty- had to wear slippers inside the tub to have a shower

    Superb

only stayed one night but was very clean and staff very helpful. Good city centre location

Charge for car parking over the top when paying this price for a room

Location very good for theatre, river walks and shopping. Staff very nice.

Rooms need refurb. Heating problems need sorting (didn't like being cold).

The staff were very friendly and made us very welcome throughout the whole weekend.

The only best part of the stay at the White Swan was that it was central to town.

Asked for Irish Coffee on both nights I was there. Informed that they had no cream. Asked for crisps at the bar. Informed that they had none. I thought that the room was very tired looking and needed redecoration. Continental Breakfast mediocre.

location is the only advance. The interior decoration is fairly nice.

The receptionist was on the phone for 5 mins before she realized I was waiting to be checked in, and there were someone at the back room determined not coming out to help. There is no ice down to the bar as the ice machine is broken, fair enough. In the morning, It took one hour to have breakfast. Guess this is our first stay and the last.

    Good

The hotel was freezing-no central heating on. I kept my jacket on in the bar it was so cold. Drinks in the bar were way too expensive. £4.70 for a small glass of wine-total rip off.
